Frontier Bowie Knife              

Frontier Bowie Knife @ 2008 Michael H. Mara

This frontier Bowie style hunting knife features a 6 3/4” blade of 1/8" 1095, with a clip point and 2-1/2" false edge, and decorative filework on the spine. The blade design includes a 1/4" choil, forged and etched finish, and a convex ground edge. The blade is hardened to HRC59. The balance of this knife is perfect, it almost floats in the hand. The knife is 11 3/8” overall, with hidden tang construction, an antler handle and wrought iron fittings, from covered wagon wheel rims, extensively fileworked. Currently there is no sheath, but one can be made, for additional cost. $342 SOLD
